"Why don't teachers dare use the word 'expert'? Where is that professional pride?" with her Experto tool Isabelle Step (Artevelde University College) wants to help teachers with her Experto tool to recognize and increase their expertise and that of colleagues, by promoting cooperation and exchange.

Learning through play
Research shows that young children learn too little in nurseries. Should creches then become little schools? "No," says pedagogue Simon Wemel. "However, they can focus on 'learning by playing', because playing is the driving force in young children's development."
