Hanna Buyssens (Vlerick Business School, KU Leuven) explores how companies can use blockchain to adopt greener practices. By creating a transparent digital trail, blockchain technology allows businesses to track every step of a product’s journey—from source to shelf—ensuring greater transparency and helping to reduce environmental impact. ♻️

Hanna Buyssens works as a doctoral researcher at Vlerick Business School, focusing on meaningful digital transformation for agile organisations. In her research, she looks at how companies can use technology in a meaningful way and what challenges and opportunities it provides. She uses her multidisciplinary background to look at challenges from different angles, aiming to defy some of the assumptions related to digital transformation, organizational design and value creation.
