Mizanur Rahman was inspired to become a researcher in immunology on conducting his master thesis work under IPMB (Interuniversity Program in Molecular Biology) at the University of Ghent, Belgium that outlined host-parasite interactions and immune system activation. He is interested in the immunogenicity to develop vaccine and how to induce a protective immune response – one that will provide protection from a given pathogen. His current PhD work at the Laboratory of Immunology, UGent is imbedded on his passion and commitment to uproot toxoplasmosis related complications and abortion.
