About the research

Sam Vanherme focuses on two systems that are extremely important for our body: the immune system protects our body against disease, the nervous system ensures the motor skills and memory of our body. The connection between these two systems fascinates him enormously and is expressed in multiple sclerosis, an incurable disease. Determined to make a difference, Sam searches in his research for a therapy for this disease.
